Light is omnidirectional which is an infinite direction. An infinite direction can be conflated with no direction at all. Why? Because a direction is meant to differentiate from all other directions.

Which model has no bottom? A sphere model or a flat model? I look at the moon and I can see the top of it and the bottom of it. All three dimensional objects have bottoms to go with their tops. That's how we can find the center: it's in between the top and bottom. How do you find a center of a sphere that only has a top? I would see my flat earth begin to curve the further I got from the surface and would eventually see it curve upon itself. It’s never an actual sphere.
